My name is Gail Pan, and I live on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia, at the foot of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Growing up in a home where sewing was always an important part of life, it was only natural that I tried every craft there was! I have always had some kind of project in the works, trying everything from knitting to cross-stitch.
When my kids were little I made their clothes, and when they got too old for that, I moved on to patchwork. My design business was born out of my habit of always adapting whatever I’m working on until it becomes a new design altogether. In 2003, at the encouragement of some friends who were opening their own patchwork business, I began to design and release my own patterns. I have been designing ever since!
I have self published 6 books and have 4 books with Martingale/That Patchwork Place. In 2017 I joined Henry Glass Fabrics and have 3 fabric lines so far. Prior to that I released 3 fabric lines with Red Rooster Fabrics.
I teach all over the world and get great satisfaction and enjoyment from sharing my love of needle and thread. I have also met some amazing women whom I now can call friends. Happy stitching!
