What a wonderful time I had in Cairns with Helen Stubbings. We were guests of Kate from Buttontree Quilts and Colleen from Sewing Essentials.

Claire and her green version of "Busy Little Christmas Elves" There was also a blue version and a red version!!

It was so lovely to see ladies bring along their quilts and other projects, made from my patterns.

Wow, with June being almost over there is a Christmas feeling in the air as July approaches!

First up is the Cookies and Cream Christmas Club which starts in July.

Then Christmas in July over at Quilt Fabric Delights

here is just a small peek at my project…..

Then I will be at Rosedale in country Victoria for a Christmas In July workshop with Lisa from Fig n Berry.

This workshop will be on Sat 28th July and if you are interested you can email Lorna lorna50@telstra.com to register.

So, off to pack my bags for my trip to Cairns tomorrow where I will be teaching on Sat for Kate of Buttontree Quilts and Colleen from Sewing Essentials. Looking forward to catching up with Helen and meeting lots of ladies!!

Another book I bought while in Kansas City is this one

 A year of Cozy Comforts by my friend Dawn Heese

It is a gorgeous book and here is my favourite quilt

blue and stars, you just can't help but LOVE it!! So this will be going on my to do list (which is getting longer and longer!!)

Here is Dawn in her booth, she has the BEST booth!!

I also received this Magazine in the mail.

So another book I also brought home with me is Kim's new book, Simple Charm.

Again it is just gorgeous.

I really want to make this one and I think it is small enough to achieve, considering I am so busy!!

Check with your local shop to see if they can get it for you. There are 12 projects in the book and the pictures are just wonderful.

I love the way Kim uses the scrappy look to make such beautiful quilts and I love the way they make me feel!! I could sit and look all day!! (really then I should be sewing!) I was lucky enough to take a class with Kim last year and she is really inspiring.

I was so excited to be able to pick up a copy of The Quilted Crow Girl's new book, released at Spring Market in Kansas City.

Elegant Quilts, Country Charm is one of the most gorgeous books I have seen.

It is filled with the most divine quilts and projects and I have definitely put them on my to do list! Here are a couple!!

  Do yourself a huge favour and find this book!!
