another week!!

has gone by so fast!!! ( I actually did a post yesterday but lost it somewhere and didn’t have time to do it again!!) I had a lovely time at the quilt convention in Melbourne. The quilts were all so gorgeous and there was a lot of fabric and patterns to tempt!!! I spent Friday with Lesley from Foothills and then had a lovely wander on Saturday.P1020531 I have been working on a new christmas project…here is a little look…..notice that it is needleturn applique which I am having a lot of fun with at the moment….

P1020534 I am hoping that it will be finished by about April, I have lots of other projects swimming in my mind so I am keen to get them started as well!!!

I would also like to thank everyone who stops by and reads my blog, I really appreciate it, I know I don’t always reply to comments but I do read them all. It is lovely to know there are some fabulous people out there and I have found some wonderful blogs (and I am trying not to spend half the day browsing!!)

be back next week!!

Cheers

Tasmania weekend

What a whirlwind trip down to Launceston for the workshop at The Country Quilter. Rosie, Natalie and I had a lovely time meeting up with Rose to present our gorgeous projects.

We were lucky to stay at a beautiful B & B 100_0046 (Nirvana B & B) just outside of Launceston, with gorgeous rooms and gardens. Very inspiring indeed.

Sarah and Kristy

100_0093 Here I am with Christine, who has posted some great photos of all the projects on her blog.

It was lovely to meet some fellow bloggers (although they did get in trouble for not letting me know until Sunday who they were!!!! LOL) Christine came on her own but soon met some other girls who made her feel very welcome.

We had a great time and were exhausted by the time we got home.

If you are going to the Quilt Convention in Melbourne this week, I will be helping Lesley at the Foothills stand on Friday. Stop by and say hello. My quilt from the weekend, Summer’s Bouquet will be available in both a pattern or a kit. See you there!!!!

Be back soon

Give Thanks

Sorry for being a bit slack in the blogging department………anyway… I have taken a couple of photos of a quilt I did a few years ago. It is called  Give Thanks by my friend Rosie. It was the first time I had tried needleturn applique and I must say that I think I have finally cottoned on to it!!! I am pleased to say that I finished this quite quickly and now it hangs in my hallway……I LOVE it!!!P1020502 P1020503 can you tell that I am a bit of a blue girl?? Soooooo…..now I am starting a new quilt using the needleturn method (my sister groaned at me "now I will have to learn that too")…..a little hint….it will be a Christmas quilt (surprise surprise!!!). stay tuned for some little peeks in a few weeks.

I am looking forward to my weekend adventure with Rosie, Natalie and Rose and meeting lots of lovely quilters!!!! I will be back next week with lots of photos (no Leanne so I will have to make sure I take lots of photos!!!)

see you then
