Here are a few peeks at a new secret project…..it will be published in Homespun…..not sure when, but I need to finish it soon! I am quilting it at the moment…..and also need to think of a name!

 

Yesterday I had a yummy lunch out and met the lovely Simone from May Blossom, she has a blog here so pop over for a visit and see all the gorgeous things she makes!! 

I have started designing another quilt and was thinking about what I would like to stitch on it….then I remembered this quilt from 2006

 

I have stitched dresden plates with flowers and am thinking along the same lines…but different…..stay tuned!!! (this is called raspberry ripple and comes with 3 different designs for the stitchery blocks)

I am off to Port Pirie tomorrow to meet up with Nat for a workshop at Country Hart…..see you there!!

I just had to show you this gorgeous version of Laila's garden made by Stina. I was so lucky to meet Stina last year when Leanne and I went to Norway.

I absolutely LOVE the way she has used lots of different fabrics, maybe I need to make myself another one just like hers!!!

Back with a photo of my Home Sweet Home BOM made by Robyn at Country Hart in South Australia. Robyn is kitting this up in the gorgeous fabric range Summers End by Kansas Troubles.

I am looking forward to seeing it when I visit at the end of the month.

It is a beautiful winter's day here today, the sun is shining but it is still cold, another perfect day for stitching.

Although I spend a lot of my time designing and stitching my own designs I also like to have some fun sewing time where I can just follow the pattern and not have to think too much.!!!

I was given the book "Remembering Adelia" by Kathleen Tracy for my birthday last year and have been able to find some time to sew this little quilt. the best bit is that I have used some of my stash…not much but at least some!!

I just love it!!!! and it's finished!!

I then bought myself the book "Prairie Children and their Quilts" and have made this little quilt….

so cute!!!

I have a few more on the go too, I am trying to make better use of leaders and enders and so these quilts are coming together quickly!!

We are in the first week of school holidays here, so hopefully I can get a bit more fun sewing done!!! I have just about finished all my projects for others and would like to work a little on my own quilts…just for me (and a couple of presents too!!!)

Back to the sewing room for the rest of the afternoon…
