has gone by so fast!!! ( I actually did a post yesterday but lost it somewhere and didn’t have time to do it again!!) I had a lovely time at the quilt convention in Melbourne. The quilts were all so gorgeous and there was a lot of fabric and patterns to tempt!!! I spent Friday with Lesley from Foothills and then had a lovely wander on Saturday. I have been working on a new christmas project…here is a little look…..notice that it is needleturn applique which I am having a lot of fun with at the moment….
I am hoping that it will be finished by about April, I have lots of other projects swimming in my mind so I am keen to get them started as well!!!
I would also like to thank everyone who stops by and reads my blog, I really appreciate it, I know I don’t always reply to comments but I do read them all. It is lovely to know there are some fabulous people out there and I have found some wonderful blogs (and I am trying not to spend half the day browsing!!)
be back next week!!
Cheers
Gail xx
Hi Gail,
I love sneek peaks!!! I would love for you to do a tutorial on needleturn applique as yours looks so neat and tidy. Actually all of your stitching looks great.
Ummmm….looks yummy Gail — can’t wait to see the real project!
Hi Gail
well I don’t know about last week but I want to know where February has gone………
Hi, Gail! Good to see you blogging again! Happy you had a great time at the Melbourne quilt convention – oh, I wish I’d had time to come!
It was great meeting you! I’ll stay tuned to what you are up to! The sneek peek you are showing looks great!!! Take care!
Your work is “sew” beautiful!
Oh yes a tutorial would be great – I’ve been trying needleturn applique, and very nearly lost the will to live!! Yours looks so perfect – how do you manaage it??
Hi Gail,
Such a teeny tease but it looks amazing!!! Cant wait to see the whole thing!!
I love the sneeky peaks too. I’m desperate to have a go at needleturn applique. I’m doing a sampler quilt course at the moment and I’m hoping the teacher will show us how to do it. Is it hard? Is it fiddly? Is there anything underneath the shapes to make them look puffy? Your stitching is always so neat. And I don’t know how you ladies keep churning out the work and the ideas. Love it tho. Thankyou. Sue
Ah Ha, there you are! I love needle turn and can’t wait to see ALL of it!
Hi Gail, love what I see. I have just started doing a bit of needle turn applique and really enjoyed it – got a bit over blanket stitch applique. How do you do yours? with freezer paper on top of shape appliqueing or paper underneath? I’m a bit confuddled as to which is the best way to go.
Love reading your blog.
Rita
It sure looks good…thoose sneak peeks are killing me…I´m sooo curious of them all and wanting me to everything I see!!!
But please don´t stop…;D
Looking good Gail, cant wait to see the whole project!!! Cheers Sue
Thanks for the peek at your new project. I love anything to do with Christmas so can’t wait to see more. Lots of people seem to be interested in needleturn applique. I finally finished Sally tonight. I’m so slow! Will post a photo tomorrow. I’m happy with how she turned out and with my first attempt at needleturn. Lesley from Foothills rang yesterday so my Roxanne’s glue will be arriving soon. They’ll be no stopping me then!. Just need a few more hours in the day! Happy stitching. Christine
great sneak peek like all your work it is very neat. Sounds like the quilt convention was fun.
Looks like another wonderful project, needleturn can be fun when you finally get the hang of it!
Happy stitching
Nicky
