5 more sleeps!

well, only 5 more sleeps!!! I have nearly finished my shopping, I left it a bit late this year as I didn't know what to buy! Think I have managed to sort it out and will go out tomorrow (hopefully the rain will have eased by then). It is very cold today, not summer at all, but great weather to stay inside and stitch, which is exactly what I will bed doing this afternoon.

I hope you all enjoyed the free stitchery and have had time to whip one up!!!

I have managed to quilt my scrappy swirls quilt (mocha swirls in the book "scrap basket surprises" by Kim Brackett) and sewn the binding

Mocha swirl1
Mocha swirls2
I did this quilt as a sew-a-long with Laila, a couple of months ago and am so pleased I finished it this year!

I also wanted to show you this quilt, which is on it's way to California to this show Road to California ,

All things xmas
it's called "all things Christmas" and will be with Mary Jane on her booth "the Christmas Shoppe"

It is very exciting for me to have my quilts in the US, I hope you have a chance to see them!!!

I am hoping to do another blog post before Christmas, until then, enjoy the days before, keep warm and cosy while you cook, shop, clean and stitch!

Cheers

Gail

  1. Wonderful quilts, both of them but I have to say the “All Things Christmas” is extra special…just beautiful. Have fun stitching…please think of me, here in our remodeling mess, LOL. Every time I think I can sit down and stitch, the table by my chair, or the chair itself has been moved, my Ott light is moved and by the time I track everything down, I’m to darned tired to worry about it, LOL. Ah, but it will be lovely, having my comfy chair upstairs, table by it’s side looking at the fireplace and listening to an audio book while I stitch. Hopefully it will all come together by the end of January. Big hugs…

  2. It is always a thrill to finish a project, but I think finishing one before a new year starts is even better. Congrats, its looks great.

  3. Gail,
Thanks for the Freebie stitchery, Yes I have made one (I left out the knots) and it was the first of My Christmas decos I put up. Second was the Quilt that was BOM from last year. All looking cosy and festive here.

  5. “all things christmas” is adorable and since I am almost finished with “love, peace & hope” I can make plans for a new project.
And, yes, we do love Gail “over here”. At last we can drool on her patterns before we purchase them.
