a day in the country

Yesterday the boys and I had a day out. first stop was a lovely patchwork shop in Koo Wee Rup, (of course there was a bakery nearby so the boys quickly headed off to buy a yummy treat). Craft Quarters is owned by Estelle and Raelene and has lots of yummy fabric.

of course I bought some fabric

P1020395 and then we headed off to the beach for a "sewing day" with Ramona, Jenny, Bev, Angela and Linden. The boys enjoyed the sand and sea and I enjoyed some catch up time with my friends, a perfect way to spend a summers day.

Enjoy the sun if you can

  1. Oh Gail – a day at the beach sounds just what I need – here in the UK it is a VERY frosty morning – and VERY cold!! I’ll have to stay indoors with a quilt snuggled round me to keep warm and finish some handsewing – oh dear, what a shame!!!

  2. HI Gail, our very good friend Leah and Brendan now own the Kooweerup bakery, I was picturing you there with them. Say hi next time for me… and Leah was a quilter but I doubt she has time now to do any stiching.. Helen
