  15. the last 3 years, i have used a simple ornament pattern for my nieces and nephews that i could utilize small pieces of their grandma’s clothing (she died unexpectedly 5 years ago). this pattern is perfect and not too girly. thanks so much!

  23. Gail, the birdie motif is perfect for my “imagined” tree this year: I’d like to make a bunch of flannel, felt or fleece birdies to stuff and have on my tree. I’m a new bird-watcher! Can you tell? does anyone have a link to some nice patterns (or tutorials) on felt, stuffed birdies? I don’t do my own felting, yet. thanks for the chance to make your ornament and to win!

I wondered if you were doing a 2012 christmas tree as I have loved doing them but missed out for the last couple of years while looking after a husband. More work means less blog visiting.   40. I love your birds as they give me the sweet memories of my mom watching her birds eat from the feeders and on a warm day even bathe in the birdbath. She loved the cardinals that came in the winter.
