Today I spent a lovely morning at my friend Trudy's house. I have been taking some photos for my book….so take a look at a few….

Here is a photo of Willy's first block of "Busy little Christmas Elves". Blue is her favourite colour (and mine too!!!) She brought it with her to class today and I had to show you…
most of these blues are reproductions……there are not a lot of Christmas blues around!!!……..the DMC colour is 930…..it works really well with all the different fabrics.

Well, winter has come to Melbourne and it's cold today!! I think that means it is perfect weather to stitch……so here is block six!!!

WOW!!!! What an adventure we have had in Cairns!! Rosie, Leanne and myself flew up to Cairns on Friday and have had the best time with the Kate & Colleen from Buttontree Quilts at their first weekend workshop. The workshop was at a beautiful property in the Atherton Tablelands and was just the perfect setting for a weekend of sewing, laughing, eating (very yummy food!!) and meeting lots of fantastic ladies.
here are some of the ladies working……
Colleen, Andrea and Gail……this is just outside the venue……and the view from the verandah is to die for!!!
we had glorious weather…….and a sensational sunrise (thank you Leanne for waking me at 6.30am so I wouldn't miss it!!!)
we also had a little bit of Carins rain (well we were in the tropical north!!) but it was still warm (a lot warmer that Melbourne!!!)
Here are Kate and Deb, looking after the shop…lots of yummy fabric there!!
We had a fabulous time and so did all the lovely ladies we met…….Kate and Colleen absolutely thought of everything!!! and thanks also to all the willing helpers who made sure it was such a success.
It was also amazing to see lots of different flowers up in far north Queensland……

and the EXCITING NEWS is …….Leanne and I are off to one of the most beautiful countries in the world……Norway!!!! We are soooooo excited….I am sure the time will fly until September and we will be there……..can't wait…..in the meantime I have been working on some more projects for the workshops that we will be doing…..Siw is hosting us and as you all know Leanne was there a couple of years ago and had the best time!!!! how many sleeps? I think I can start counting down the days already LOL!!
Back to work….I have a lot to do!!
