Sabrina Bernina and I have been very busy this Easter weekend! I thought I would finally have a go at quilting some tops that have been sitting around for a while. First thing though, I finished the baby quilt
and I am very happy with the way it turned out!
Second was " A Gardener’s Journal", a pattern from Hatched and Patched, I didn’t quite finish the quilting as I ran out of thread……but almost finished!
third was a star quilt from "Australian Patchwork and Quilting", I love this pattern and managed to use a lot of scraps!
This top was finished over a year ago..I am pleased I have now a lovely quilt for me!!
And last of all, an applique quilt from Jennifer Knol, it is called "Grandmothers Tea set", I finished this top about 2 yrs ago… it looks a bit bright in this photo but is actually quite dark…….
I have finished all the blocks for my BOM and am waiting on some fabric to arrive to finish the sashings…..pop back later this week for a few photos!!
Have a great week!!

Wow Gail well done you achieved heaps over the long weekend, good on you.Love all your quilts especially the pretty pink one. I have all the material and pattern book ready to go for the garden quilt, just have to finish off a couple of others first.Have a great week Jo
wow you have been busy doing some beautiful work…..
Wow! Have you slept at all this weekend?!?! You have been VERY productive – wish I could say the same! I have the Gardener’s Journal book and have stitched a couple of the panels, but always use them for gifts before they make it to being part of a quilt – one day!! Look forward to seeing your BOM – love admiring other people’s gorgeous creations! Bear Hugs! KRIS
What a productive weekend you’ve had. I love the baby quilt you finished.
You certainly have been very busy! All of these quilts are beautiful…I especially like the scrappy stars.
Wonderful! Busy hands produced many great things. Good for you!
Well done Gail!! I wasn’t quite so productive, but did find the thimble the prince bought me a few years ago…everytime I have a clean up of the sewing room I hope against hope that I will find it…and when I got my knitting (WIP) out the other day there it was…who would have thought! Love the star quilt…no sewing for me today – back to work!
Congratulations on achieving so much over the Easter break. The star quilt looks terrific as does the sweet baby quilt. Here i was feeling pleased i had completed 2 mini blocks from Butterfly Garden and did some more appliqué on my JOL quilt. Nah, I’m still pleased.
Wow Gail, you deserve a pat on the back. Great job. Love the baby quilt. Very pretty. Square in a square is that called? You’re an inspiration. I have been productive over the weekend too but nothing completely finished. How do you find the time with family? Have a great week. Sue.
They’re all beautiful Gail! You have such a great eye for color!
You and Sabrina have been busy. Beautiful work. I had test drive on the same machine while I was at AQC – very, very nice. Have been wondering if the children really need to be fed or clothed.
Go girl go, good on you they look fab, I hope to get some time to quilt a few of mine that I finished on the weekend. Give Sabrina a pat on the back for all the hard work.
