Quilted Living Book Tour (and giveaway)

It's Day 3 of the Quilted Living Book Tour, welcome!

Quilted living

I am so excited to be a part of this book tour!

Quilted Living is the new book by Gerri Robinson of Planted Seed Designs for The Fat Quarter Shop.

There are 10 projects in the book and we had to choose one to make..

I chose Basketweave….made with my fabrics Baskets in Bloom for Red Rooster Fabrics (get it…..basket theme happening here!)

Basketweave1

I love to have small quilts around my home…on the couch, on the balastrade, on the coffee table…but I love to photograph them outside as my house is quite dark!!

Basketweave2

I absoutely am thrilled with how it came out, I made it just a tad smaller and quilted it with an allover swirly pattern…it was so great to make a quilt where I didnt have to write the instructions!

  26. Love the colors you used in your quilt. I have seen several of the designs made up, and it looks like a good book to have and use.

  27. This book does look summery and fresh – very appealing. I love the quilt you made, especially your color choices!

  28. This looks like a great pattern for showing off fabrics you don’t want to cut into little tiny pieces and it would leave some fun negative space for some awesome quilting!! Love it!

  29. I’m enjoying hearing the comments of the book blog hop participants. One common theme seems to be they enjoy not having to figure out the measurements. I understand that. I often see a pattern and think I could draft it, but my time is more valuable than trying to figure out all the measurements for a quilt I didn’t design. I love your following the Basket theme. Your small quilt is adorable. Thank you for participating and an opportunity to win a great, great book.

  34. Love your quilt, the white background makes the colors pop. The book would be inspirational.
