Finally it's my day for The Splendid Sampler!!

It's so exciting to see all the blocks coming together!
There is a little bit of applique on my block, along with the embroidery…
I am doing my blocks in blue…so here is my version for my quilt!
The applique is little but is a nice addition to the block.
Here is how I did the large spool with the two fabrics.
sew the "thread" fabric in between the "spool" fabrics. make a template with freezer paper and iron onto the block. Line up the seams with the spool edges..
position and applique into place…don't forget to clip the inside curves…
and if you really don't want to do applique, you can just stitch the spools!!
Or even applique them in wool or your chosen method!

Never did embroidery till splendid sampler it’s been a challenge but I’m getting better I think. Love the the blocks new with a computer too the. Thank you all its been something new as I’m a widow now
