Lunch

well didnt that week go quickly! I finally have the first layer of my new kitchen floor…hooray…we have been able to move everything back in for a while and I was able to have a good spring clean (Leanne would be very impressed..LOL..although she still isnt allowed in my sewing room!) I have been sewing as well and here is a quick peek at a new quilt I am working on for release at the Melbourne AQM (trade show)

P1010700 I have done 9 blocks and will be on the look out for sashing fabric tomorrow.  I am really enjoying the needle turn applique at the moment, I usually do blanket stitch but wanted to do something different, of course I make sure there are not too many tight corners or curves!!

I have also finished the project for Country Threads magazine and will post that off on Thursday, I can’t show you what I have made but I am very happy with the way it has turned out. And of course the week wouldn’t have been complete without a couple of lunch dates with my friends, Melinda, Anne, Leanne and Rosie (but don’t tell my hubby!!), its all about the friendships and the laughs (and tears!!)and occasionally the stitching and sometimes the wine and sometimes the scrumptious cakes (okay a lot of times about the wine and the cakes!!!) but hey isn’t this the only life I have so I will enjoy it……..LOL……

Enjoy!!!

PS I have the new Ikea catalogue…..maybe there is some hope for me yet!!

  1. The block is so pretty. It will be a beautiful quilt, I’m sure. I love hand applique and sometimes do needle turn. I would like to begin a new project as I don’t have one going at this time.
