a little show and tell

I have been taking photos on my phone whenever I am shown a project from one of my designs. Quite often it is while I am working at Foothills. So I finally got Keegan to get them from my phone to the computer.

Are you ready?

This first one is called "country kitchen" and was made by Willy who replaced some of the stitching with applique (remember they were taken with my phone so they may be a bit blurry)

Willy country kitchen

this one is "provence" made by Marg, who sent it to Canada!! (a bit different to the original!!)

Marg provence

this one is amazing as it is so different to the original(again!!! it is great to see!) made by Helen. it is called "summer's bouquet"

Helen summer2

Helen summer3
Helen not only changed the stitchery colours but also the "lace" colours around the applique ovals!! What do you think? (the fabric is called Sophia)

And I received these photos by email from Bente in Norway, a beautiful version of "busy little Christmas elves". fabrics by the buggy barn, quilted by Merete, pattern from Siw at Quiltegaarden

Hanne has also made it you can see photos on her blog. (scroll down a little!!!)

Pop over to Terry's blog too to see "A Christmas wish" also

I think that' it for now, I am off to "Immerse" tomorrow and a wedding on Sunday, a busy weekend!!!

Have a good weekend

Cheers

  1. Gail, They are all wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing them. Now I am totally in love with ‘country kitchen’ and busy little elves’. You know, if I hadn’t had surgery, I never would have tried stitching quilt blocks and now I am totally addicted to them. Is there a support group of some kind for folks like me? LOL… Really beautiful work on all of the pieces. Hugs…

  2. Gorgeous projects Gail 🙂 I went and bought two of your Somerset House kits at Foothills yesterday. I blogged about it and can’t wait to start on them!

  3. I always enjoy seeing how different a pattern can look done in different fabrics! Love the colors Bente used on her elves quilt! And thanks for the mention! I really loved doing those little stitcheries! :0)

  4. One of my favourite patterns of yours, is the “Summer’s bouquet”. I’ve started on some of the stitcheries a long time ago, but not finsihed. Guess I’ll have to speed up a bit, and continue to get this quilt finished. It’s gorgeous with the stitchig around the flower blocks, looks like laces… Thanks for the inspiratio again :o)

  5. Lovely quilts 🙂
Now I have uploaded the finished elves quilt with binding and all to my blog.
Gail – feel free to download the photos to your computer if you like 🙂
I have so enjoyed the journey with the elves !
