here it is “winter blooms”

Here is my new quilt, all quilted, bound and photographed!!! I have nearly finished writing the pattern (I really don't like this bit!) and hopefully it will be in stores at the end of next week.

I absolutely love this quilt, it has to be my new favourite…..I got a lovely parcel in the mail from Siw, and these fabrics were in there!!! Such a gorgeous surprise and I had the perfect project (just needed the time LOL!!) and finally it is done.

A big thanks to Robyn who suggested the name last night after I had changed it about a dozen times!!!

Winter blooms 2
as you can see the wind was having a play and is was so difficult to get it to be still!!! Luckily Liam was home and I roped him in to be quilt holder….

Winter blooms 4
not bad !! Of course the pattern cover will look a little different.

Now to finish the pattern writing!

Have a good weekend

Cheers

Gail

  1. Winter blooms is just lovely Gail… I can see why it would be your new favorite… Funny though I can see the possibility of it in pink – and I’m not a pink person…

  2. The quilt is really beautiful! Love it! And love the name too :o)
Wish you a lovely weekend, and look forward to see what the next project will be :o)

  3. I love the fabrics and the colours Gail and of course the design is perfect. 🙂 You have created another fabulous quilt 🙂

  4. Lovely Gail,
I hope that you will have the pattern in time for the Warracknabeal day in early October. I will see you there and look forward to then.

  5. What a gorgeous quilt. I really love the gentle, subdued colors. They have such an elegant look. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adore the design…I love everything about it. Please tell me that someone in the US will be carrying this pattern. Beautiful!

  6. Gail, I know I left a comment on this beautiful quilt, but I think that in all the uproar of my having surgery recently and frantically downloading stitchery patterns so that I would have something to do while I couldn’t work at my sewing machine, I forgot to thank you for the lovely Christmas BOM stithery blocks. I got them all before surgery and got many of them traced and have been working on various projects while recovering. I truly appreciate your patterns and I have seen some of the finished blocks posted on other blogs that are absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to get back to sewing in order to border some of my finished stichery blocks and start putting quilts together. So…just in case I haven’t already, I wanted to say, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Hugs…
