already gone

Wow, January has almost gone and with it our summer holidays. The kids go back to school next Friday (yes, friday, what the?) except Jarrod who starts at Monash University this year, (not until the end of Feb) studying Maths/Computer Science. He is so excited he wants to start now! I am so proud of him for getting into the course he chose, I have a son in Uni!!!

I have settled into my new little office at home as I am now distributing my patterns and books again. I am looking forward to a busy year ahead (once I get out of holiday mode!) and promise to keep you all updated on what is happening in my part of the world!

The first thing to do is finish writing a few new patterns, so hopefully on Monday I can show them to you.

The second thing is to start my project for Robyn at Country Hart, she is doing a Project of the Month with a theme of "My Sewing Room", so if you would like to be a part of the fun, pop on over for more information.

I am also going over to South Australia for the weekend of July 2 and 3 to be a part of Inspired Stitches run by Sarah. So if you would like to come, pop on over to Sarah and sign up!!!

When I am allowed, I will also let you know where else I will be this year, just need to finalise a couple of things!!

OK, I will show you a photo of one of the new patterns, made with "summertime friends: fabric by Lynette Anderson

I have called it "simple times", a little bit of applique and a little bit of stitching!

Simple times
so I better get it printed!!!

Have a great weekend,

Cheers

Gail

  1. Another lovely project there Gail. The Project of the Month sounds quite intriguing. As for your son starting Uni, believe me, you will blink and he will be finished before you know it. Good on him for embarking on a Uni degree and Monash has heaps of extra curricular groups he can join in with ( if he has the time). It seems a life time ago my eldest completed her Science degree at Monash and my youngest comleted a degree at Uni over a year ago now.
    Enjoy your new office.

  2. Good luck with all your plans for the year.
Congratulations to your son for his uni placement.
It is wonderful to see how proud you are of his achievement!!

  3. YOu never cease to amaze me with your lovely designs Gail 🙂 its lovely and I love the colours.
Thats wonderful news about your son too and I look forward to hearing about all your new designs too 🙂 hugs Vicki

  4. Can’t wait to get my name down for inspired stitches and guess what I am doing a project for Robyn POM as well, very exciting.
