Block 9…the last one!

Wow, I can't believe how the time has flown by and here we are in September!!

Here is the last block of "A Christmas Wish"….I hope you have all enjoyed stitching the blocks and I can't wait to see how you will put it together. I will be back in a couple of days with a photo of my finished quilt and instructions to complete my version…..however you may put it together however you like!!!!

I had a fantastic night on Friday at my book launch. Thank you to all who braved the cold and rain….especially Vicki and Sharon who came from Geelong.

Luanch2 Sue, Dianne and me. Sue did a great job of proof reading the book and I am so thankful for the work she put in.

I then packed up my samples and headed down to Berwick on Saturday morning to do a workshop with Marcia and a great group of ladies.

Janna2 this is part of a new pattern called "bluebirds in spring" (this time they are pink!!!) which will be out soon.

    I really have enjoyed stitching all the Christmas blocks but for some reason I can not find number 9 with the list of the other blocks. Am I looking in the wrong place? I have clicked on everything I know to click on. Help! Thanks for sharing.

  3. I am going crazy with wait for the last block. Where is the button! I am biting on my last nail! LOL I know its a computor glitch…… but just had to have some fun. Thank you so much Gail for your wonderful design. I will proudly display mine for all to see.

  5. Love the last block! I am still working on away on mine. I have one set of the first 7 done. And currently working on NOEL. I have also finished the first 5 blocks on two more sets. I am still hoping to get 8 sets done. I know that is a lot. But I am hoping to get them done for Christmas gifts for family members.
    Can’t find the link for the download for Block #9.

  8. Thanks so much for posting this! I thought I’d check before I went to bed (I’m in the UK so it’s Sunday late night here). I just printed it and am taking it to quilt group tomorrow to work on it and then I can sew everything together and start quilting!
    Thank you so much for your generosity with the free BOM! I can’t wait to finish it and give it to my MIL for Christmas. I just know she will love it 🙂

Hi Gail….I can’t believe it is September either…I had such good intentions with these blocks and got the first three done as soon as they were available….but….not sure what happened…that’s as far as I got..will remedy that tonight when I get started again..I even cut out all the pieces ready to trace and stitch each month……! Congrats again on the book…I would have loved to come to the launch but it was a bit far to drive for the evening….!

    Congrats on the book and your book launch Im pleased to hear it went well, would have loved to have been there … but its a tad far from Adel. Thanks for the gorgeous “A Xmas Wish” blocks each month. I have done a few but have plenty to catch up on. Oh well … one day!!!

  20. Add my Thank you to the list above Gail. This has truely been a lovely project to work on. I’ve even used one of the months to make a pincushion. I’m all caught up and ready to do the last one. I’ll be taking mine to sewing group tomorrow to work on.
    Will you have another project for us to wait on each month? I so hope so! I really like your style.

  22. Your book was to get at Quiltegården on Tuesday last week, and Siw brought it to our quilt guild meeting at Wednesday, and I just had to get it:o)
    And today, when I saw block 9 was out, I just had to start on the BOM :o) Are you releasing the whole pattern before the class you are teaching in Trondheim? I hope so ;o)

  25. Hi Gail, today I went to Quilters Harvest & purchased your book… It’s a lovely book with lots of beautiful patterns, well done, I love it!! My nanna use to make baskets and I have a couple, including a little one that she made for me when I was a kid (so it’s very vintage!!), what a great idea to base your book on… Hope all is going well for your preparations and packing for Norway, have fun!! Oh!!oh!!oh!!book arrived yesterday it was waiting for me when I got home from a late shift last night …just what I needed….. its beautiful!!!! only one problem!!!!! what do I choose to do first??? & when do I fit it in …oh have to be strongwilled & finish SSCS & Stitching Angel first OHHHHHHHH !!
