Nervous and Excited!

OK, so I will admit I am a little nervous, I will be talking to Pat Sloan next week on her radio show……hope I don't say "um" too many times!!

Pat Sloan American Patchwork and Quilting radio Gail Pan guest

I am also excited as I met Pat last year in Salt Lake City and she was as lovely as can be!! I have been chatting to her as part of the "Aurifil Designer of the Month 2012" so I feel like I know her (think she is just that type of person!!)

Listen in to hear me talk about quilting in Australia and also if you just want to hear my accent!!! (what accent, I dont have one!!LOL)

The show is on Monday the 5th March at 4pm (Pat time) which is Tuesday the 6th at 8am my time.

Hope you have time…

Cheers

Gail

“welcome home”

I wanted to quickly show you a new pattern exclusive to "The Quilter's Roost" in the USA. Jodi has been a great supporter of mine for a long time (she was my first US customer!!) and does a lot of shows. The Quilters Roost will be going to Paducah for the first time this year and Jodi will have kits (incl the gorgeous wire hanger) available exclusively!! I have used the 3 sisters moda fabric "etchings" for this stitchery wall hanging and I love it!!

If you are interested in a kit you can email Jodi info@quiltersroost.com

Simply Vintage and winners!

To say I am excited to have a project in this magazine is a little understated! I am beyond excited! I was asked last year if I would consider having a project in the new magazine from Quiltmania!! Simply Vintage can be found here.

You can see the magazine here.

This is the project, "little bird sewing set" it's only in French at the moment but here is hoping they will publish an English version too! I am hoping to pick up a copy when I go to Europe soon.

Back to reality!!!

So I have been away far longer than I intended to! I took a week off last week to head to the beach camping. Sometimes a forced rest is what you need and I did need it! Had a lovely time, no work at all this time! A couple of books and a little bit of cross stitch!

Yesterday I spent a great day at Somerset patchwork in Mount Waverley, teaching a lovely group of ladies how to needleturn applique. It's such a small world though as one of the ladies, Annette, is the mother of a friend from Jarrods primary school days!!!

I only have 7 weeks until I head off overseas with Helen so I will be working hard to get everything ready, I am so excited!!!

Stitch

here are a few little looks at two of the projects…..
