This is Monika's

Johanna
and this is Johanna's
and if you go here to Maike, here to Christine and also to May Britt you will see more finished blocks…wow so quick!!!.

a big THANK YOU also to everyone who has posted a link back to my blog….I really appreciate it.

If you look to the left you will see a photo of block one, feel free to use it on your blog if you can figure it out (Jarrod did mine). Also there is a bit more info about the quilt as I have had a few questions. I have finished the last few blocks today…it is very tempting to post block 2 already but I will be good and wait until Feb ….

I have also taken advantage of holiday time to work on my Friendships Garden quilt, this is the middle block
P1030874
and to also start this

P1030873
it's the "Little Neighborhood" that I saw on Nicky's blog and I just love it…I will see how far I get before I need to put it away and concentrate on work.

That's all for now

THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your support for A Christmas Wish….

Gail

  2. Hi Gail
I am also attempting this one, I don’t normally do BOM as I have so many other things on the go. I am really enjoying it and am already looking forward to the next one.
    Thanks for your generosity!

  3. Hi Gail, love the friendship garden block. Been meaning to but never have started that one. Just Got When the Cold Wind Blows would love to start collecting for those but I have the House quilt started so should really finish that one before I start on another of there extraveganza’s

  4. I too purchased Little Neighbourhood after seeing it on Nicky’s blog. I love it but feel guilty starting it as I have many UFO’s that I should do first. The biggest one being Leanne’s Butterfly Garden Quilt BOM which I have now received #8 and have only started #1!!! I need it finished to take to NZ for my Mum’s 70th May 1st this year. Aaarrgghhhh!! Some words of encouragement please. Thanks for the free BOM too. Best wishes. xx Sue

  6. Just wanted to say thank you so much for this BOM. I am on a very tight crafting budget so your BOM has been the perfect project to take to the Christmas Club that I belong to. I finished off the first block at the club last night (and I think there are a few of the girls that will be joining in – they all loved it!)

  7. Oh Gail! What a surprise to see you have a new BOM, its lovely. I have been over in W.A. this past 3 weeks with Hamish and I just put the last few stitches in that particular neighbourhood house last night at the airport whilst we waited for our 1:30am flight to board! Its looking great so far.
    Catch up soon,
    Nicky

  16. I have a question about the BOM blocks. I just found your blog through Leslie at My Country Home. I would like to start this project. My question is: what do you use to trace the pattern onto the fabric? Is it a permanent tracing or does it wash away? I have never done any tracing like this before so I don’t know what to use. Thanks.
