Free Bom…..block two!!!

After what seems like a very long month, I am back with block 2 of A Christmas Wish!!!

I have finished the quilt and written all the patterns but……one at a time with only 7 to go after this one!!! I hope you have all enjoyed stitching the first block. I have received lots of emails and comments and have visited lots of blogs over the last month…wow….from all over the world!! (google translate is coming in very handy LOL!!)

Thank you all for spreading the word and putting a link on your blog…….it is so exciting to visit all the different blogs and seeing a link!!! It sounds like you have all loved block 1 so I hope that you like block 2 too!!!!!

Now that school is back this week I have been trying to get into a routine…it is still hot but not as bad as last week (although tomorrow will be about 43 deg Celsius…very high fire danger, especially where we live near the forest).

Enjoy block 2!!

until next time

Gail

  1. It has seemed like such a long month and I love this block even more than the first one – I especially love your background fabric better than mine. It is very cruel of you to make us wish the year away whilst waiting for your block

  2. YAY.:-) I have been itching to see this block. Thank you so much Gail. I have actually done two of the last one and cut out the Centers for two quilts worth. I thought I would make one for me and one for someone else Dont know who yet. Hope the weather cools down a tad so that stitching is a bit more comfortable.

  3. Yippee! I have been checking my feeds very rregularly hoping to see you had a new post. I think this block is even nicer than the first one … and I loved the first one! Thank you.

  6. Hi Gail, Thanks for block 2 … very cute. I have actually finished block 1 and have been waiting for block 2. Very hot here to in Adel …. so I think I will be sitting by the aircon and stitching. Stay cool!!! Cheers Sue

  7. Thanks Gail. The month has gone so fast but the wait for Block 2 has seemed a very long time. I’m not sure if that make sense? Anyway, glad to see Block 2, can’t wait to stitch it and put it with Block 1.

  8. I have been waiting since I finished the first block for the second block and checking my feeds for a post from you and it has been worth the wait 🙂 . I can’t wait to stitch this one up. Perhaps tonight!

  20. Hi Gail, I thought I had posted a thanks for the next block but alas must have dreamt it. Anyway thank you so much I have completed number 2 block and love it as much as the first.
I have uploaded a picture on my blog.
    Thanks again (((HUGS))) Roz.

  21. Gail, They are both lovely. I’ll start on them when I’ve bought the right thread.
    Looking forward for no 3.
Hope you are safe. I see on the news Hell broke loose down under.

  22. It’s wonderful, too! I found your blog last month when you started this and immediately printed off the first block. I still haven’t sat down to stitch it but I know I’ll have these done in a flash! I’m so looking forward to seeing it all completed 🙂
I love Primitive Country so my quilt will be a little different, probably coffee-stained and done with homespun but half the fun is seeing how the same pattern can make so many different looking quilts 🙂
    Thanks for doing this!

  23. Thanks! Yes, I love this one, too. You snuck it by me. I checked and it wasn’t here, and then I come back a couple days later and it is. =)

  24. thanks for sharing a great project. While I haven’t begun the blocks as such I did use the word from block one to make a miniature quilt to go in my sewing love swap package.

  25. Thanks Gail. I love the way you have written Merry. I am doing this with a group of friends and they will be so excited when I see them next week.
    Love Meagan

  26. I knew it! The 2nd block is just as lovely as the 1st. Thank you. I’ve already made both, and can hardly wait for the next.
