Happy New Year!!!

So, the last day of 2008, it has been a great year, lots of travel and meeting lots of new ladies…it's been a ball. Next year I have a bit more traveling planned…..I am so excited!!
I hope that you have enjoyed reading my blog and hopefully I will see? you all again next year.

I have a bit of holiday reading planned. Here in Australia our kids are on summer holiday until the 2nd of Feb so I feel like I am on holiday too! (hey I think that is only 5 weeks til school goes back!!) I am having a family holiday toward the end of Jan, camping at our favourite place Warburton (yes a whole hour away!!!!!) Thought I might collect a few books to take with me.

I am sooo looking forward to reading The Pact…it is tempting to start now but I really want to be able to sit and read all day long!!!

Even though I have read these…I think I might read them again!!!

and because I had 12 charm squares left over from another project, I made a little bag to put a little stitchery project in. (because I always take some sewing away with me!!!)

Tonight we are off to a friends house for a party…watch out singstar!! (this is becoming a bit of a habit LOL)

I hope you all have a safe and joyful New Year

Cheers……see you next year!!

  1. Hey Gail! Apart from the camping (the only stars I’ll sleep under are “Five”!!) your holiday sounds just like mine – kicking back, reading some, stitching some and lots of taking it easy – good on you! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to in the New Year! Bear Hugs! KRIS

  2. Have a great new year, Gail and ejoy the break. Warburton is only a short trip away from a rather good patchwork shop so you will have somewhere to visit if the need arises!!!

  3. Dear Gail! Wishing you a very happy 2009. How wonderful to have so many good books to read. Isn’t it great to look forward to that (O: Have a great vacation with your family.

  4. It’s New Year’s Eve morning here now in the USA. We are invited to a party at a friends’ home tonight which I’m looking forward to. They’ve been good friends for many years and we cherish them. Let’s hope that 2009 is a happy one for all of us around the globe.

  5. Happy New Year Gail! Love the tote. You’re going to love the Pact also. Great book. She has turned into one of my favorite authors. I love the Secret Garden too another favorite author. I just finished Little Women, again, and will start Little Men tonight. Great holiday reads.

  6. Hi Gail, I noticed that the books you have are from the Elm Creek series, I really enjoy them they are a light read but interesting info about quilting. MY Son gave me the Christmas Quilt and The new year Quilt in one book for Christmas an I have just finished it last night I did enjoy it even if they go over a bit of old territory sometimes. Enjoy your holiday break no matter how far you go it will be a change .
Happy New year and I will enjoy looking in to your Blog in the months to come. Regards DebHallam

  7. Happy New Year Gail. Enjoy your reading. I loved the Pact. I will have to read the Elm Creek books. Love the bag. Have a wonderful holiday break. In 2009 I will look forward to reading your blog.

  8. Just had to wish you a quick Happy New Year too Gail. Hope it brings all you deserve. Those books look good. I must admit I have not yet read any of Elm Creek Series. I might have to make it one of the priorities for the New Year of course with more time for crafting. D. :=)

  9. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Have a great break… The best part for me about going to the beach is reading, I’ve got my books organised too. I am very excited cos mum and I are heading down to the Quilt Expo at the end of Feb, we are going on the Friday and Sat morning and then going to Wicked Sat afternoon. Hope to catch up… Will keep in touch, Happy designing in 09, Love Jo xx

  10. Enjoy your holiday. Make sure you take a hanky with you, you will need it reading The Pact. It is really good!
Back to work today…. its always worse ‘thinking about it’ than it is when I get here. But I do wish I was still home.
