Wishing you a Merry Christmas

Only a couple of days to go and I would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. I hope that your days are filled with happiness and fun (and chocolate maybe…!)

I was lucky to receive a couple of presents today (from myself of course!!!)

I do like collecting the Blackbird Designs books….I have started one quilt over a year ago (actually nearly 2 years…!!!) so don't like my chances of making anymore but they are gorgeous to look at!!!

I also received the latest issue of Country Threads….there is a project of mine in there……maybe a quick holiday project!!P1030738

I am also working on another project for Country Threads…..due in two weeks….and I am going to handquilt it…..should be possible….I hope!!!

Thanks to everyone who has popped by to read my blog, see you (well sort of!!!) next year.

Have a great holiday and stay safe!!!

Cheers
Gail

  1. Hi Gail
We must like the same things – I just bought those exact same books for myself for Christmas! Aren’t they lovely?
Have a very merry Christmas and I hope 2009 exceeds your expectations.

  2. Hi Gail,
Wishing you a Merry Christmas with lots of time free to stitch to your hearts content. Hopefully that’s what I’ll eventually get to do. Hope to catch up again with you next year, who knows it may be at another retreat, if not the shop.
    Ho! Ho! Ho!

  3. Merry Christmas to you too! Hope you have a safe and happy Christmas and a wonderful new year with lots of stitching and creating!…….I am an avid collector of Blackbird Designs books….some of their quilts are on the list for my retirement…boy I am going to be busy! LOL

  4. Hey Gail! Hmmm … I keep seeing that So Pretty Homestyle book and I think I’ll have to track a copy down for myself! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos and sneaky peeks with us throughout the year. I’ve only been blogging since February this year, but would really miss it now! Have a fantastic, happy and safe Christmas and may the New Year be full of lots of exciting new adventures for you! Bear Hugs! KRIS

  5. Hi Gail, have a lovely christmas. Hopefully we will catch up next year if not 2010 which sound like so long away but I am sure I will blink and it will be here again.

Cannot wait to see what your up to for the next year:o)
Thanks again for the nice surprise earlier this year. I finished the pincussion today, and I just love it! It’s the sweetest one I’ve seen:o)

  10. Hi, Gail…congrats on having your pattern published, awesome. I love that publication and when I happen to run across it here in the US, I buy it. Not all the bookstores have it, and the price on amazon.com is prohibitive.
Merry Christmas, a few days late.

  11. Hello there Gail,
I hope you and your family had a great Christmas. I wish you a Happy New Year full of peace, love and cheer and may all that you wish for come to be.
Thanks for keeping us posted with what is happening in your life and work – through your blog. I do enjoy reading it.
I had to post you a note today – I too love Blackbird Designs I have been collecting their books for the last 10 years or so – could be a bit longer. Like you I too like looking at them – must get the new one “As the Cold Wind Blows”.
Enjoy your holidays with your family.
With all my best wishes and may your new year be blessed.
    Poppy
