relaxing sunday

Today I have spent relaxing and recovering after a small party to celebrate my DH's birthday….we had a few people over but it felt like 100!!! Now I can concentrate on Christmas…only a few more presents to buy…Liam is the only one left to still go to school, he doesn't finish until Friday…so I can have a few sleep ins this week..
Thanks to everyone who left a lovely comment about my free stitchery…there are some completed ones starting to pop up on some blogs including Tracey, Simone, and Gaby  .
thanks also to those who have passed on the Christmas cheer and mentioned it on their blog.

I made these tags the other day for the girls at my sewing group…we had our break up on Wed….I tied a Lindt chocolate to each one….yummy!!! I also received a gorgeous apron from Leanne as my pressie….I can't wear it as I don't want to get it dirty!!!

Lastly, I have been playing with my jelly roll and so far this is what I have done..

Bye for now…have a great week!!

  1. I have been itching to make something with a few jelly rolls, but they are too pretty to chop up! LOL yes silly I know.. I like what you have done with yours though!

  2. Oh…this one looks so good…and actually tied up one of those rolls and started…you ought to have a prize for that… :o)
I really need to untie mine…:o)

  3. Great idea for the tags, thanks for sharing and I think I will make something like this too.
You quilt will be very pretty, I like the applique flowers on the pices.

  4. Love your tags. You have an easy way of drawing. Very impressive! Love your jelly roll play too. Nice colors and the red flowers chare it all up.

  5. Like what you are working on there….and happy birthday to DH…from another one who has a December birthday….we had some friends and family over on Sunday for a BBQ – it was great….looking forward to my holidays…they start on Monday and we are planning some last minute CHristmas shopping….I can’t shop too far out from Christmas…just doesn’t feel right….! LOL

  6. The tags are so cute…I laughed at the apron comment I agree Leanne’s aprons are so nice they can’t be worn in the kitchen. They certainly don’t resemble anything I wear to cook in.

  7. i love the new quilt! Can’t wait to see it finished! I am working on the pattern I got from you ealier this year, and I’m almost done with the pincussion now:o) it took a while to start on it, but now I’m on my way:o)
Wish you a Merry Chrismas, Gail.
