I guess there might be a few posts out there with this title as it has been such a lovely day. First my youngest son came in a 9am (so nice of him to let me sleep in!) with a handmade card and gifts from the mothers day stall at school. This is the verse inside the card…

My response was to laugh and laugh ( I have 3 boys and it seemed sooo appropriate!!)
After a brekkie of bacon and eggs (cooked by hubby) I made cupcakes to take on our family picnic
with chocolate icing of course. ( I also received my favourite chocolates Ferrero Rocher….. mmm yum!!)
We had a lovely day, too much food, lots of laughs and glorious sunshine. we are hopeful that it will rain again soon as it has been very dry.
To all the Mothers out there I hope you had a lovely day too!!

I love those fun little poems that kids give you on Mother’s Day. Those cupcakes look yummy too. Glad you had a nice day. And if you want rain, maybe I could package up a bit from our corner of the world.
