needle keeper

Thought I would share with you this needle keeper that belongs to my mum (I borrowed it about 4 years ago and it has lived with me since then!) My memory tells me that she got it from one of us kids, bought at a mothers day stall when we were at primary school. I also have a vague memory that she might have made it for the stall herself!! P1010002_2 I am so glad that she kept it all these years. Is this where I get my " I can’t throw that out"  problem from? You never know when you might need something and I do like to keep things for sentimental reasons.

Just before Christmas my hubby made me throw out all the empty boxes that I had somehow collected, just to ask me the next day if I had an empty box he could use!! He certainly copped it from me for about a week.

Anyway, I hope you all have an enjoyable week, and I hope it rains (just not on Wed afternoon when we have a paper round!!!)

  1. This is so sweet. My mom has a little collage on her wall that I made when I was little and one day, I hope to have possession of it. I would also love to have her sewing box. Great treasures are meant to be saved.

  2. Hi Gail. I have a needle keeper very similar to yours that my beautiful, now departed aunty made for me. Mine is pink of course and I love it too.
